BiosenSource is a spin-off of imec and VUB that has been founded in November 2015. The company has been incubated at Startit@KBC and Starterslabo and won several awards:
- April 2014: 2nd prize in ‘Battle of Talents’, a business plan competition for students (5 k€).
- May 2015: 5th prize in Bizidee, a Flemish business plan competition,
- June 2016: Nano4Health award for the project with the highest potential for creating or shaping new value
BiosenSource raised a total amount of 125 k€ subsidies, and reinvested >0.5 M€ company revenues in the development of the measuring device.
